Before and after
Comparison of condition at the example of a 1960 Bianchi Specialissima. The bike was first photographed like found and then again after an intensely clean up. It was the effort for to preserve as much substance as possible without exchange or renew parts, paint, chrome or decals. Beside few former replaced or upgraded parts like the Fibrax brake pads and some old paint touch ups only tires, chain, front wheel and top race cap of headset had been replaced. Unfortunately we did not find a correct matching headset race then. Also the orignal front wheel was cracked and had been replaced.
